Iran director Morteza Atashzamzam lensing Rohingya Muslims

Iran director Morteza Atashzamzam has started shooting a doc on Rohingya Muslims at the border between Bangladesh and Myanmar.

A Friday local media published a photo that shows the director making a doc on an oppressed minority group, the Rohingya Muslims.

He was quoted by local media as saying, "We... have our made efforts to reach the crisis-hit region and relay part of Rohingya Muslim's pain and overwhelming suffering to the world and statesmen in a form of documentary.”

The shoot for the doc “has already started from a region situated at Bangladesh-Myanmar border," the director also notes.

The UN has described the Rohingya as the most persecuted community in the world.

Many countries have called for an end to the violence against the Rohingya, including Iran.
